Swiftwater Sports is the Washington state dealer for AIRE inflatable kayaks; they are our number one selling inflatable kayaks.
AIRE has its Tomcat and Strike inflatable kayaks (IK’s) made in China. The Tomcats and Strikes are made of a 900-denier, 22-ounce PVC (plastic) coated material for the tube and a 1200-denier, 26-ounce PVC coated material for the floor. The Tomcats are sewn together and have vinyl AIRE Cell bladders inside their zippered hulls; the Strikes are thermowelded and have urethane AIRE Cell bladders. Their floors have I-beam, air mattress-type AIRE Cells made of a urethane coated 400-denier nylon material. Both come with spring-loaded Summit valves and very comfortable foam insert Chetah Chair seats that provide excellent back support and come with a built in repair kit bag and drink holder. Color choices for the Tomcats are blue or red. Tomcats have a one-year warranty. Strikes are available in light blue and have a five-year warranty. Both boats come with a repair kit.
All the other AIRE inflatable kayaks are manufactured in Meridian, Idaho. They are made of a PVC coated 1100-denier, 24-ounce dacron polyester fabric thermowelded and sewn together; no gluing is used. These IK’s are constructed with 14-mil urethane AIRE Cell bladders zippered into their hulls. Their floors have I-beam, air mattress-type AIRE Cells made of a urethane coated 400-denier nylon material. Access to the AIRE Cells is through full-length double zippers in the hull and floor. Spring-loaded low-profile Leafield valves are used. The AIRE Cell floors have a Leafield pressure-relief valve (except for the floors of the Forces). The Force and Force XL IK’s have inflated bag backrests that also serve to keep water from coming into the boat. The Lynx, Force and Traveler IK’s come in light blue, red, yellow, green or purple. Each IK comes with a repair kit and a video. These IK’s have a ten-year no fault warranty on workmanship and materials.
